When In Rome...
So we recently took a short trip to Rome. It was our first time visiting and it really is a beautiful city. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and the landscapes were simply breathtaking. It is safe to say that Rome stole my heart and we will definitely be taking another trip there soon. Here are some of the highlights
Obviously, we couldn't go to Rome without visiting the Vatican. It was right near our hotel so it would've been rude not to.
After the Vatican we took a nice walk to take in the other sights that Rome has to offer. And, I mean, is it me or do all the buildings in Rome look simply beautiful. Even just apartment blocks are gorgeous hues of colour
The Colosseum was another must see and it was just as beautiful as imagined. We didn't actually get to go inside as it was All Saints Day so it was closed early, which was a disappointment. But there was still plenty to see around the area (that's partly why we didn't get in on time because we were distracted by all the beautiful buildings and landmarks on the way there)
This right here was one of the distractions that took us on a very scenic route to the Colsseum, The Capitoline Musuems. Such a beautiful structure built in 1471 by none other than one of the World's greatest artists, Michelangelo. This group of art and archeological museums are the World's oldest museums
After working up an appetite taking in all of these beautiful sights, we came across this chic little restaurant
They had these cute Vespa's - next time I come back I'm going to hire a Vespa
And the food was super tasty
