Now I know that this time of year can be tough for us vegans being surrounded by people gobbling on choccy's, pigs in blankets and slurping on egg nog. But I'm here to help you through that with a few vegan treats that I have found
So, after a well deserved blog-break due to all the wedding shenanigans, I am now officially Mrs. King and I am so excited to share my big day with you!
When I first went vegan, it was the first food I thought of when I imagined non-vegan foods that I would miss. But to my utter delight, a few months after going vegan, I found that places such as Zizzi and Pizza Express started to offer vegan options. And recently Pizza Hut actually decided to start stocking vegan cheese to allow vegans to dine there as well as non-vegans.
I was blessed enough to attend the Black British Bloggers Photography Workshop at the Impact Hub, Brixton, where we learnt about lighting techniques, angles, shooting flatlays, beauty and fashion as well as finding the perfect light on outdoor shoots. Before even entering the venue, I could tell it was going to be a great creative day. Walking through Brixton market and seeing all the creativity and vibrancy.
So last week I went to the It's A Vegan Ting event and it was such a cool experience. It was like a party with loads of amazing food, drink, art, clothes, accessories and cosmetics. All of my favourite things, so I was 100% in my element!
I had the opportunity to go to the Veg Fest in Bristol yesterday. It was the first time going to an all vegan event and it was so amazing. I love the fact that I didn't have to ask any of the vendors if it was vegan. Such a refreshing feeling.
When I go abroad I love to immerse myself in the culture of the place I am visiting and for me, food is one of the largest aspects of most cultures. Being vegan can sometimes be tough when you're abroad, but luckily this country is up to speed and knows that veganism is a growing movement. Check out some of these great places in Barcelona creating not only vegan but simply delicious dishes
So this Christmas was my very first Christmas as a vegan. I was really struggling to figure out what I could make. Last year I was vegetarian so I had a few more options as to what I could have. So I trolled the internet for a few ideas and here is what I decided to make.
