Places To Visit in Barcelona
So, I am sad to say that this is my final post about Barcelona. It is fair to say that I left my heart in Barcelona
There are so many beautiful places to see in Barcelona. I didn't quite get around to seeing them all, but here are some of the gorgeous places I did get to see
First off, I went to this sublime Gaudi creation Sagrada Familia
This building is probably one of the most iconic buildings in Barcelona
It is still being built, but the photos definitely do not do it justice. This is a must see if you are ever in Barcelona. I was simply awe struck by it's beauty
Next up, we wandered into this contemporary art museum
Museu Can Framis, established in 2009, has an education program that offers activities designed for pre-school to secondary school, as well as for people with special educational needs. I love this concept. Art needs to be available to everyone who wants it and it can be very therapeutic
So many beautiful pieces by amazingly talented artists
But the most breathtaking were these pieces by Yago Hortal
This piece actually took my breath away. I was stood looking at it for ages just amazed by all the colours and textures of this piece. When I hit the "Big Time" I am going to have one of his creations in my house
We also knew that we couldn't come to Barcelona without checking out the Arc De Triomf. And what a beauty it is
Opposite the Arc De Triomf is this stunning Parc de la Ciutadella
Inside the park is this Castles Dels Tres Daateins which translates to Castle of the Three Dragons
Lastly, I took a stroll into the Gothic Quarter to check out the Cathedral
It was so beautifully and lovingly created. The antique gold contrasted with the colourful, bright stained glass windows really made me speechless - for once
These places in Barcelona really helped steal my heart! I will be back and when I do, I'll be sure to take you all along for the ride
Thanks for reading and if you have any suggestions as to where I can go next time I visit Barcelona, let me know
